I am now working in data protection law. Some of the matters that I have worked on include:

CCPA Compliance – I have closely followed the evolution of US law on privacy over the past 18 months and am working with a number of clients related to the California Consumer Privacy Act.

GDPR Compliance – The new EU data privacy and security law went into effect in May 2018 and required a number of changes from companies collecting and processing the data of individuals located in the European Union.

ePrivacy Directive – The “EU Cookie Law” as many people call it, requiring among other things the establishment of consent through deployment of a consent banner on websites prior to placing certain cookies.

Data Processing Addendums (DPAs) – Agreements between organizations governing the collection, use, sharing, security and liability around data practices.

Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) – Privacy agreements concerning sharing of certain health care data between organizations required for compliance with HIPAA and other health care privacy regulations.

My other experience in the law generally has been acquired from over a decade working on legal matters as a licensed Pennsylvania attorney, including health care fraud litigation, securities fraud, employment law, whistleblower law and eDiscovery.
